Queensland Badminton is pleased to announce the appointment of the following members to the Queensland Grading Panel, with terms extending through to 30 June 2028:
- Wen Kai Sim
- Ramakrishna Alapati (Krishna)
- Van Cai Thong
- Johnny Liu
- Karen Davey – QBA Board Liaison and Chair
The Grading Panel plays a central role in maintaining competitive integrity across all QBA‑sanctioned tournaments. Its responsibilities include:
- Reviewing player performance at regular intervals
- Ensuring appropriate grading based on demonstrated skill
- Preventing under‑grading that may compromise fairness or player safety
- Providing consistent and transparent decisions across Queensland
The Panel consists of five members: Four independent members with strong knowledge of the Queensland playing environment, plus one QBA Board member who serves as liaison and Chair.
