Associations and Clubs

The Queensland Badminton Association (QBA) is a member‑based organisation made up of three Regional Associations and a network of affiliated clubs across the state. QBA works in partnership with its members to develop, support, and promote badminton throughout Queensland.

Regional Associations

Each Regional Association is responsible for delivering badminton within its geographic area. Their responsibilities include:

  • Affiliating clubs and venues within their region
  • Running events, competitions, and development programs
  • Supporting participation and growth of the sport at a regional level

Affiliated Clubs

Affiliated clubs play a vital role in their local communities. Each club is responsible for:

  • Running social play sessions
  • Delivering coaching programs
  • Organising pennant competitions and local tournaments
  • Promoting badminton and creating opportunities for people to play
