Brisbane School Doubles Championships

The Brisbane Badminton Association (BBA) is excited to announce the 2026 Brisbane School Doubles Championships, a two‑day event celebrating the skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship of high‑school players from across Queensland.

When: Friday 4th  & Saturday 5th September 2026

Where: 39 Quilton Place, Crestmead

Entries Close: 5.00pm Wednesday 2 September 2026


Event Schedule

Friday 4 September 2026

  • Open Girls Doubles — 5.30pm
  • Open Boys Doubles — 6.00pm

Saturday 5 September 2026

  • Under 15 Girls Doubles — 1.00pm
  • Under 15 Boys Doubles — 1.30pm
  • Under 19 Boys Doubles — 3.45pm
  • Under 19 Girls Doubles — 4.15pm

Each event is expected to run for 2.5 to 3 hours.

Entry Guidelines

  • Schools may enter up to five doubles pairs per event (e.g., five pairs in Under 15 Girls Doubles).
  • Both players in a pair must be from the same school.
  • Players may only compete in one age group, which must be their correct age category.

Open Division Eligibility

  • Players graded C or D Grade in Queensland sanctioned tournaments who have won or placed runner‑up in D Grade events in 2024, 2025, or 2026 may only enter the Open Division.
  • Players who have represented Queensland or another state/country and are graded C or D Grade in the past three years may also only enter the Open Division.
  • Players graded B Grade or higher are not eligible to participate.


Age Groups

  • Age is determined as at 31 December 2026.
  • If a player turns 14 in 2026, they compete in Under 15.
  • If a player turns 15 in 2026, they must compete in Under 19.

This tournament offers students the chance to compete in a supportive and energetic environment, develop their doubles play, and connect with other young athletes who share a passion for badminton.
