Representatives from State and Territory associations gathered in Sydney last weekend for the Badminton Australia Forum, held alongside the Australian Badminton Open. The Forum brought together leaders from across the country to discuss national initiatives, share updates, and explore opportunities to strengthen badminton’s governance, participation, and performance pathways.
Across the three‑day program, attendees engaged in sessions covering governance practices, national event structures, high‑performance system development, inclusion initiatives, and updates on technology and membership systems. States and Territories also shared local projects and community engagement approaches, highlighting the diversity of work happening across Australia.
Badminton Australia provided updates on the national database rollout, membership trends, and upcoming national priorities, including preparations for World Badminton Day on 5 July. Representatives also had the opportunity to connect informally throughout the weekend and attend matches at the Australian Badminton Open.
