Technical Officials Committee Nominations Now Open
Queensland Badminton is inviting nominations for the Technical Officials Committee (QTOC) for the 2026–2028 term. The committee plays a vital role in ensuring that all QBA sanctioned events are conducted fairly, safely, and in accordance with the Laws of Badminton and relevant QBA, Badminton Australia, and BWF regulations.
The Committee oversees the recruitment, training, accreditation, and deployment of Referees, Umpires, and Line Judges across Queensland. Its responsibilities include developing training pathways, managing accreditation in coordination with BATOC, recommending officials for State Championships, maintaining the registry of active officials, and providing technical advice to the QBA Board and Events Committee.
We are seeking individuals with experience in technical officiating, including Referees, Umpires, and Line Judges, who are committed to supporting the growth and professionalism of officiating in Queensland. The Committee consists of a minimum of five members, with appointments typically made for one or two years. All positions are voluntary and require members to act in the best interests of QBA.
