Grading Panel Nominations Now Open
Queensland Badminton is inviting nominations for the Grading Panel. The Grading Panel plays a crucial role in ensuring that players across Queensland are placed in competition grades that accurately reflect their demonstrated skill level, supporting fair, balanced, and competitive tournaments statewide.
The Panel reviews performance data from QBA sanctioned tournaments, assesses player progression, and makes recommendations to ensure grading decisions remain consistent, transparent, and aligned with competitive integrity. Its work helps prevent under‑grading, supports player safety, and maintains fairness across all levels of play.
The Panel consists of five members, four independent members and one QBA Board representative as liaison. Ideal nominees include individuals with strong knowledge of the Queensland player base, regular attendance at tournaments, and experience as senior coaches, long‑standing competitors, or respected community members. All positions are voluntary, and members must be current QBA members.
